EUCLIP_RES is a research project on artificial intelligence applied mainly to the field of media; due to the exponential growth of the amount of data to be processed, this domain needs more and more accurate search, indexing, and analysis tools.

In the context of this project, a user is the beneficiary of a media monitoring system which provides him/her with selected newspaper articles extracted either by means of key words or through the the work of specilized operators (for example, the press office of a university, which is interested in any kind of media content mentioning the university).

Project motivations: (i) monitoring all kinds of media (journals, newspapers, newscasts, webites, specialised blogs, and social networks) to select content considered relevant for the user, in a complete way and, at the same time, in a way that is not demanding in terms of manual search and selection; (ii) with respect to the three main languages spoken in South Tyrol (German, Italian, and English), provide a unique system to align content in different languages in a single multilingual database.
