Davide Testa is a PhD student in AI at Università di Roma La Sapienza in partnership with Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento. He is supervised by Bernardo Magnini (FBK) and Alessandro Lenci (University of Pisa). 

Currently, his research deals with multimodality and the construction of a high-challenging benchmark for testing grounding and reasoning skills of pre-trained Vision Large Language Models (VLLMs). 

His university career started with the bachelor's degree in Cultural and Linguistic Mediation at Università di Napoli L’Orientale. Here, he began to pursue his interests in Translation and Linguistics. 

Later, he graduated in the master's course of Digital Humanities in Pisa by focusing on Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. 

His thesis was published at the ACL conference in Toronto (2023).

His current interests are related to language models, conversational agents, machine translation and semantics.
